Celebrating Lucy’s achievements and her first months at the Hub
5 January 2026We are delighted to share some fantastic news about our osteopath, Lucy McSweeney. Lucy has been awarded the Rising Star award by the Institute of Osteopathy, a national recognition given to practitioners who show exceptional promise and a positive influence on the profession. She will be featured on the iO website and in the next edition of their magazine, and we could not be more proud to see her work acknowledged in this way.
Alongside this award, Lucy recently celebrated another major milestone as she attended her graduation ceremony. Osteopathy is a five-year degree covering anatomy, physiology, pathology, clinical reasoning, hands on treatment and movement-based rehabilitation. It is a demanding and highly respected qualification and completing it is a real achievement. Lucy paused part way through her degree to have her son, Rowan, and later returned to complete her studies. Happily, Rowan was there to see her graduate, which made the day especially memorable, and he told his Mummy that he was very proud of her!
Lucy joined the Hub in October and has settled in brilliantly. Her patients often comment on her calm, thorough approach and how clearly she explains what she finds. We enjoy hearing her laughing throughout her sessions – her friendly nature really puts patients at ease. You can learn more about her background and clinical interests on her bio page.
Her successes do not stop here! Lucy recently secured the Hub’s 200th Google review, a big milestone:
“She is so professional and extremely thorough. I went to see her with a few issues with my hip. She did a complete examination of my whole body to ensure there were no other problems. I was treated and the problem has now been resolved. Totally recommend Lucy she explained everything she found and what she is doing.”
We are thrilled to be celebrating such a strong start to Lucy’s career with us, and we look forward to seeing her continue to grow within the team.
If you would like to find out more about osteopathy or book an appointment with Lucy or our Ollie, our other osteopathy colleague, we will be happy to help.
