Stronger Strides – 8 week strength class for runners
Sundays 08.00 and Tuesdays 19.00
Want to run stronger, more efficiently, and with less risk of injury?
Stronger Strides is a progressive, expert-led strength programme built specifically for runners – whether you’re preparing for your next race or simply want to feel better on every run.
This is a strength-based course designed to help you run with more control, power and resilience. Strength training is one of the most effective ways to support your running – it improves form and efficiency, reduces injury risk, and builds the robustness your body needs to manage training load, especially as mileage or pace increases.
Led by Strength & Conditioning Coach Josh, this small-group class gives you structure, expert coaching and measurable progress – with assessments before and after. This is not a running group, but you’ll make new running buddies and you’ll have the opportunity to tap into all our other running services such as full running analysis and running development sessions. Who knows where this could lead you and what goals you will achieve!
What’s included
- 8 weekly sessions of runner-specific strength training in our gym facility
- A 1:1 strength test and injury risk assessment at the start and end – carried out by our sports therapist and running specialist
- Exercises focused on better running mechanics, joint control, and muscular balance
- A supportive small group setting for motivation, consistency, and proper guidance
- A detailed running questionnaire on intake to help personalise your programme
Who it’s for
This class is suitable for runners of all abilities, as long as you currently have a base fitness of at least 3km of consistent running. You don’t need to be fast – just regularly running and ready to train. You don’t need to have strength trained before. Stronger Strides is not suitable if you’ve had surgery in the past three months or are currently running with pain that hasn’t been assessed or diagnosed. If you’re unsure, drop us a line and we’ll happily advise.
Stronger Strides is an eight-week block to ensure that your space and progression is guaranteed, and costs £135. Choose either Tuesdays at 19.00 or Sundays at 08.00. Alternatively, take both classes for £250.
- Tuesday block starts 2nd September (until 21st October)
- Sunday block starts 7th September (until 26th October)
Places are strictly limited to eight, and sell out very quickly. Please contact us for further info and to secure your place.
“I never did any strength work to support my running, although I knew I should! Adding this in has made a whole world of difference, I’m stronger in my running and I’m learning about form and technique in every session.”
