Stronger Strides – 8 week strength class for runners

Tuesday 17.45 or 19.00

Want to run stronger, faster, and with fewer injuries without spending hours in the gym? Stronger Strides is a progressive, small-group strength class designed exclusively for runners who know they should be doing strength work, but never quite get round to it.

This isn’t a bootcamp or a random circuit class. It’s a carefully designed, coach-led programme that targets the specific strength runners need to improve performance and stay injury free. Every movement, load, and progression has a purpose, helping you get results that show up where they matter most: on the road, track, or trail.

Led by a specialist coach

Each session is led by our Strength & Conditioning Coach, Josh, who’s experienced in working with runners of all levels. His sessions focus on smart, efficient training that builds the control, power, and resilience your body needs to handle running load and training demands. Expect expert guidance, clear cues, and an encouraging, friendly environment. Whether you’re new to strength training or looking to refine your technique, you’ll learn to move better, lift with confidence, and feel the benefits on every run.

Why runners love Stronger Strides

Most runners know strength work is vital, but between busy schedules and uncertainty about what to do, it rarely happens. Stronger Strides makes it easy.
In each session, you will:

  • train with like-minded runners who’ll keep you accountable
  • follow a structured, progressive plan that complements your running
  • understand why each movement matters
  • enjoy the motivation and support of small-group coaching

There’s optional homework each week if you’d like to do a little more at home or in the gym, but there’s absolutely no pressure. You’ll also have the option to join a private WhatsApp group, perfect for questions, updates, and friendly encouragement from Josh and the rest of the team.

It’s a friendly, focused hour that fits perfectly into your training week and pays off with improved efficiency, fewer niggles, and stronger strides with every run.

What’s included

  • 8 weekly, runner-specific strength sessions in our gym facility
  • Structured progression designed to improve running form, control, and strength
  • Expert coaching from an experienced Strength & Conditioning Coach
  • Small-group support (maximum of 8 participants per class) for motivation, consistency, and accountability
  • Optional weekly homework sessions to build on your progress
  • Private WhatsApp group for class communication and motivation

Who it’s for

Stronger Strides is ideal for runners of all levels, as long as you’re consistently running at least 3 km. You don’t need strength training experience, just a willingness to train smart and get stronger. It’s not suitable if you’ve had recent surgery (within 3 months) or are currently running with pain that hasn’t been assessed or diagnosed. If you’re unsure, get in touch and we’ll happily advise.
