Lucy McSweeney Osteo

Lucy McSweeney

Osteopath

Lucy enjoys supporting people with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, from everyday aches and pains to longer-term injuries – helping them move more freely and feel more confident in their bodies. Her approach combines joint mobilisation, manipulation, soft tissue therapy, exercise and lifestyle advice.

She has a particular interest in women’s health, especially during the pre and post-natal stages, and is passionate about helping women stay active and well throughout these important times of life.

Lucy is able to provide Osteopathy for a number of conditions including:

  • Spinal pain
  • Peripheral joint problems
  • General acute and chronic pain types
  • Pre and post natal
  • Arthritic and degenerative joint pain

Alongside her work in clinic, Lucy is a highly experienced yoga teacher, running several classes each week. She brings this depth of knowledge into her treatment sessions too, offering patients clear and practical guidance on movement, posture and recovery.

Lucy’s background is varied and gives her a unique perspective as a practitioner. Before qualifying as an osteopath, she spent many years working in sports and remedial massage, and previously served in the Royal Marines Band Service. Earlier in life she was a competitive figure skater, training intensively from the age of seven to eighteen – often on the ice before school each day. These experiences have given her resilience, discipline and a first-hand understanding of overcoming injury and pain.

Outside of work, Lucy is mum to a lively four-year-old son. She loves spending time outdoors with her family, often travelling in their campervan, climbing, paddleboarding and enjoying holidays together.

Lucy is registered with the General Osteopathic Council.

“Lucy has such a kind and patient approach, and has been so thorough with getting to the bottom of my issues. I’ve enjoyed my sessions with her and feel so much better now. Thank you!”
