Pilates for Strength with Laura Collin
Fridays 10.45 – 11.45 STARTS 9th May with a FREE taster session 25th April. Sign up now!
Pilates for Strength is a bodyweight and props class, focusing on functional movement, breath and strength endurance for the purpose of promoting effective, coordinated movement and a healthy musculoskeletal system. It is suitable for active beginners and returners, and all those involved in sport and exercise. With just nine participants our excellent instructor Laura is able to teach exercise progressions and regressions for everyone, and to guide and correct where needed.
The functional strength gained from a consistent Pilates practice is achieved by developing strength and improving mobility and flexibility. It helps you move and breathe through your daily activities and chosen sport and exercise with more power and endurance.
Laura’s class is offered as a six-week block to ensure that your space on the mat is guaranteed, and costs £99. Please note that this class takes part upstairs, and you will need to be able to transfer between the floor and standing with repetition in the class.
This class commences on Friday 9th May, with a free taster session 25th April. Places are strictly limited to nine, and will sell out very quickly. Booking is strongly recommended. Please contact us for further info and to secure your place.
“I’ve moved to Laura’s stronger class, and it’s a perfect fit for my golf and cycling. We all have different issues or aims, but Laura is so knowledgeable in sport and fitness that we each feel it benefits us hugely in our leisure time.”
Remedial Pilates with Laura Collin
Tuesdays 13.30 – 14.30 and Fridays 09.30 – 10.30
Remedial Pilates with Laura is a steady bodyweight class, focusing on functional movement and breath for the purpose of promoting effective, coordinated movement and a healthy musculoskeletal system. It is suitable for beginners, returners and seniors. With just nine participants Laura is able to teach exercise progressions and regressions for everyone, and to guide and correct where needed.
Regular Pilates improves core strength and posture, reduces back pain and helps to prevent injuries. Studies have shown that Pilates improves quality of life by having a positive effect on depression and pain, most notably decreasing back pain.
The functional strength gained from a consistent Pilates practice is achieved by balancing strength with mobility and flexibility. It helps you move and breathe through your daily activities with more freedom and power, and less pain.
Laura’s class is offered as a six-week block to ensure that your space on the mat is guaranteed, and costs £99. Please note that this class takes part upstairs, and you will need to be able to transfer between the floor and standing with repetition in the class.
Both Remedial Pilates classes are currently fully booked, with new places coming available every six weeks. Please enquire further info and to be added to the waiting list.
“Such a lovely small group – we have fun, test our abilities, and feel great for going.”
