Evie graduates and takes her next step at the Hub
5 October 2026This month marks an exciting milestone for a familiar face at the Rehab Hub. Evie Smith has graduated from the University of Hertfordshire with a BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy and, from early October, will join our clinical team as a Sports Therapist & MSK Practitioner.
Evie has already been part of the Hub for the past two and a half years, working as our Clinic Administrator while completing her degree. During that time, she has got to know many of our patients and has also built practical experience by offering volunteer massage slots to people attending our Pilates and Stronger Strides programmes.
From university to clinical practice
In her new role, Evie will be seeing patients on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, working with both sporting and non-sporting musculoskeletal conditions.
Although Sports Therapy is most often associated with athletes and sports injuries, Evie’s role is not limited to sport. She will also work with patients experiencing musculoskeletal problems that affect everyday movement and activity, just like the whole team here.
It is a lovely progression for someone we have already had the chance to know so well. Evie has balanced her studies with her work at the Hub and has gradually gained more hands-on experience alongside her degree. We are delighted that the next stage of her career will be here with us too.
Supported by the wider team
As Evie begins practising as a newly qualified practitioner, she will receive senior mentorship from experienced members of the team.
In practice, that means having experienced practitioners around her to talk through cases, ask questions, reflect on her clinical reasoning and seek guidance as she builds experience in her first year. It gives Evie the opportunity to keep learning from the knowledge within the wider team while developing her own confidence and approach as a practitioner.
That fits naturally with the way we already work at the Hub. Our practitioners regularly share ideas, discuss cases and draw on one another’s experience where useful, so mentorship is very much an extension of that collaborative approach.
Congratulations, Evie
Completing a degree alongside work and practical experience is a fantastic achievement, and we are very pleased to see Evie reach this milestone. We are proud of her achievement and are looking forward to supporting her in this early and exciting stage of her career. We’ve no doubt she is going to shine!
