Abbie learns dry needling!
5 May 2026We’re pleased to share that Abbie has successfully completed a dry needling course with Sports Therapy UK, further expanding the range of treatments we can offer our clients.
Dry needling is a specialised technique used by trained therapists to treat muscle pain and tightness. It involves the use of fine, sterile needles that are carefully inserted into specific areas of muscle known as trigger points – tight bands within the muscle that can cause pain, restriction, and reduced function. By targeting these areas, dry needling helps to release tension, improve blood flow, and encourage the body’s natural healing response.
This approach can be particularly effective for reducing muscular discomfort, improving mobility, and supporting recovery from both acute injuries and long-standing issues.
Abbie’s additional training enhances her ability to accurately assess and treat these problem areas, allowing her to integrate dry needling alongside her existing hands-on therapies. This means she can offer a more comprehensive and effective treatment approach, helping her clients move more freely and perform at their best.
We’re proud to support our team’s ongoing professional development and look forward to seeing the positive impact this will have for Abbie’s clients!
